1975 cj5 dana 30 in the front put in a aussie locker . The type that gives traction to the wheel with traction not the type that lock both on.ANYONE have these in before. I got out today and locked the hubs and spinning in the mud made a constant thunking noise when spinning in the mud but still in 4x4 and driving on road everything was a dream.Sounded great got back into mud and spinning tires and constant thunking.I think its the locker being new sounding louder than it should switching sides like that.And im trying to rule out one of my hubs is trying to but not quite engaging ......... It went threw the mud like no ones buissness covered me and jeep everywere ahh that was a blast for its been apart for monthes now. This was its maiden voyage out and im just second guessing things before im  20 miles back on a trail Any other thought on what it could be id like to know just in case.I have been wrong before  :D

could be wheel hop. try unlocking 1 hub at a time and see what happens. adding the locker could have made some minor noises or issues more noticable.

could be a hub not engaging fully . and when it slips it sounds like that. Check to see if the splines are full length , not machined off by the hub that is half engaged .
