is a realy mini van engin in the jeep JK?
that is so stuped that they did that......
Oh and would you go with NGK spark plugs?
They did it because it was a tested and relatively reliable engine that was appropriately sized for the jk and was fuel efficient enough to meet modern requirements...of course it is not ideal but to me this is better than a) a new unproven design or b) paying a lot more for the jk due to it's fancy new engine or c)
They don't sell enough jks to warrant designing an engine just for this platform (yet)
I am happy with the stock jk engine...not wowed but if I wanted a hot rod I wouldn't have bought a jeep...as a seat of the pants comparo, the stock jk (manual) feels more powerful than a manual 4.0 litre XJ with stock (bad) gearing but feels less powerful than a TJ with 4.0 and 4.10's
