Rust on side of my 1993 YJ

I have three spots of rust about 3 inches sq each on the side of my YJ and two places it has gone through. I am looking at getting it professional repaired with new steel inserts where the rust has gone through. However I have seen several YJ's with what looks like a tempered steel panel that they have attached to their YJ's. Sometimes I have seen this on the lower side of their YJ"s and sometimes on either fenders. Does any know anything about these or where you can get them and have them installed? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

That stuff is for them dirty Wranglers... I have a "grocery-gettin' Cherokee"... so I have no knowledge of that type of armour. Somebody will probably post up regarding them. Sorry bud.

need to get another 10 years out of it ?

consider a used tub if its everywhere and you can do the work yourself,  if its a beater with no return$ expected
bolt on some deck plate ,  not sure where this rust is you have but maybe this place can get you a quality
patch reasonable ...
