Opinion on RE super flex, and other control arms?

Hey gang.... I have to replace my ProComp LCA bushings on my XJ (5" lift).

I'm considering replacing just the LCAs or both upper & lower with flex joints (RE Super Flex or Johnny Joints)

OK... I know JJ are far superior, and what I've read about the RE stuff is well.. not the best.

Anyone care to chime in on best/worst products they abused over the years?

I,m in the same boat , looking for control arm upgrades. Currently have jks style arms and thinking about going to ironman arms . Jonny joint at one end and greasable poly bushing on the other.  Is this a good product ? On an xj i was reading on naxja that you need one end rubber or poly so that the unibody does not crack .  Any other view points or ideas to consider ?

I can't see that having two flex joints would "crack" the uni-body. The Poly's are less flexible than the OEM rubber.

I'm considering Clayton's -- I haven't read much good about the REs if you live in wet/winter areas. Great if you're in like Arizona or California.... seems like those locations don't complain about the REs.

Rob, do yourself a favour and just get the Johnny Joints and don't look back.  Billy has a bin full of RE Superflex joints that he's replaced for people. They don't seem to hold up too well to the mud/dirt we have in our region ( Delrin bearing cups wear from grit and cause slop = not good). Bill replaces them with the Johnny Joint from Currie.

I'm considering Clayton's

Clayton Offroad uses Currie Johnny Joints. John Currie is the mastermind behind these joints; thus the name. There are imitations of this joint kicking around out there so beware Rob, or did you mean Evolution Machine and Fab's Heim joints from Clayton Kraatz?

I had RE super flex arms the joints were FUBARed in a litte over a year and I greased mine monthly

As stated stay away from those rebuildable re joints, because u will have to rebuild them over and over. Just like rookie said, I just rebuilt mine last
year and they just stArted clunking again....

What's wrong with the JKS arms?

The threaded part in the middle eventully wears out and the arm gets excessive play, clunk and are not rebuildable  .  Gotta grease them excessively and the will last along time.
