« on: August 25, 2010, 09:22:48 AM »
looking to meet at  the (Mclean) store by 10:00 am

Would like to run a bit more of challenging trail this time round, therefore 32/33's are a good idea but not necessary, tow points and all that, there will be some mud, Some hills, and some rocks  and it should be a good time

hopin to meet some new people and see some friends

I'd love to go but i'm a little concerned about 'challenging'.  Just built up a brand new 10 Rubicon Unlimited, TF 2.5 BB, bumper, 8500 winch.  I wanna go get it dirty but don't want any 'RockyMountain Pinstripes' quite yet.  I haven't been to Mclean yet but want to go out and follow the leader so I can learn the trails.   If you think I can come out of this one unscathed i'm in.

it's only the first stripe that is tough :). What kind of bumper did you get?

I went with the Rugged Ridge XHD with ends and hoop.  Threw a couple KC lights on the hoop and a couple on the windshield.

Yeah a stock JK could handle this, A rubi will walk through, If its your first time It will be fun thats for sure, as for the pinstriping I'll be honest, there are bushes that will rub against your Jeep in one section of the trail.  Nothing more then twigs and leaves though. Whats worse then the branches rubbing on the jeep is if you have your window open...sometimes a strained branch  will whip in and bitch slap you

If it where me and I intended on wheelin my jeep I'd take it through, this is pretty light stuff (bushes), and anything that can cause any real noticable damage is very avoidable by not hammering the skinny pedal and choosing logical lines. That said the choice is yours, As I alluded to earlier if its your first run ever its probably got a little pucker factor, although some people are hard to impress.

You will be fine stock, I just took my 2010 mountain through fisher east last weekend and it did good, did get high centered a couple of times but  is a pretty rough trail. I will see if I can make it out as well.
