Campground suggestions
« on: August 29, 2010, 03:35:45 PM »
Looking for a "first come first serve" campground for the Sept long weekend. Has to have power at least, water would be a bonus.
I have always stayed at non serviced campgrounds, so not too familiar with powered campgrounds (besides mt Kidd and McLean Creek, but both are booked)

would perfer to stay within a 2 hour drive of Calgary.

Thanks in advance!!
Ian

Willow Rock is a self-registration campground, just on the East side of the road across from Bow Valley campground (near Canmore).  They have a whole section for RV's on powered sites.  We've camped here before, and it's a great location, only about 45 minutes from Calgary.  There's some nice hiking in the area, too.
Current project:
2012 2-door Orange Crush JK
AEV 3.5" lift
33" Mikey Thompson MTZ
Smittybilt XRC front and rear bumpers
Warn VR800 winch

BUILT AND SOLD: Silver 2007 JKU (because they all look the same now anyway)
