Strange food combinations
« on: September 01, 2010, 07:03:50 AM »

My daughter made a disgusting meal for breakfast today. It was a boiled hot dog wrapped in a pancake and she ate it with mustard. I don't know where she picked it up but the smell was hienous. I used to put gross toppings on my pizza(before I was married) and was wondering if you guys/gals had any "odd" food combinations?
My grandma hasn't been helping me out as much as she used to

That's not so strange..... it's very yummmy I agree...

when I was in college, I loved eating peanut butter and pickle sandwishes when I was drinking beer and watching football...

I also ate/drank maple bacon milkshake (Noel and Kipp the owners of Boogeys Burger are still doing that shake) and a girl at work made me bacon chocolate chip cookies with maple glaze... That's Killah!

Sorry guys...my son Avery has you all beat!!!!  I am very mucha cheese lover, and one day I brought home some very, very nice, rich, STRONG Blue cheese from Janice Beaton's.  O course all the kids wanted to try it, and Avery was the only one who said he liked it.  (He is 9 yrs old) I did not think anythng of it till the next night when I went to get a treat for my self and all my cheese was gone.. Avery told me he had made himself lunch.  Blue cheese and Raspberry jelly sandwiches :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

He still does it today whenever I bring blue cheese into the house... *sigh*  It has to be his mothers side ::)

the BEST combo, and i stand by it, is garlic bread dipped in mashed potatoes smothered in gravy.............. runny mashed potatoes are better........ i LOVE it

I can believe that you've had some awful things in your mouth Trev.

I was the starving University student once. I just made dishes out of what I had in my cupboards at the time.

- Garlic bread with strawberry jam dipped in cola(I still rock this from time to time)
-Tuna and pork and bean omelette with flat beer that was kicking around from the night before. ..my guts still hate me from that one

On my last adventure down south I grew fond of fish tacos  ;D

Joey Tomatos makes them OK, but I can't seem to find any other decent places in cowtown.
