Jeep Security/Safety
« on: September 14, 2010, 08:51:31 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm new to the Jeep world and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to secure my vehicle, as my last truck was broken into a couple of times even though it had electric locks and manufacturers safety system.  My 02" Jeep TJ APEX however only have manual locks and not security system. Other than the obvious of not leaving anything of value in the vehicle, or breaking the bank with a security system  what can I do to make it more safe and secure?

Thanks!!!

I swear there has been a similar thread like this before.

You can do this (my first choice but hard to obtain).

Or buy an alarm.  May or may not work though, people tend not to listen to them.  I have an Alpine alarm on mine because it was a Christmas gift.  Never turn it on anymore though because it never gets the chance to leave the damn garage.  It has a proximity sensor for if you have the top off.

I've got a Viper in my truck that works pretty asweome (more so for the remote start).

Try Autotemp on 42ave SE.  I've always been treated well there.
This is not 'Nam, this is wheeling.  There are rules.
