Stupid rough country...
« on: October 14, 2010, 06:38:31 AM »
Life time warranty....  none transferable.  That sucks, got a set of sagged rough country springs here and they won't warranty them because I'm not the original buyer.  In my industry a s/n determines warranty.  Guess they don't stand behind their product.

To be fair, I'm not sure any place will warranty something if your not the original buyer...

did you actually buy them sagged with that intention?

full 4" kit for 550$ to your door.

old RC springs had a tendency to sag after a while. they've since changed manufacturers and on their new stuff the 'sag' is not much of an issue.

or slap an adda leaf in those packs or run a longer shackle to get 4"

this is very true in most situations, some will allow it to transfer to buyers, it does not mean that they don't stand behind their products,  if you buy them used for say, a case of beer, why would they replace them at a cost of 400 for example.

Ya I know, I'm not the original buyer.  In my industry the warrenty follows the product regardless of who owns or buys it.  I had just asked the guy if we could work something out for a kit, not to just replace the springs.  Basically asked him to give me a break on the full kit as it is known that older rough country springs sag.  There is still a good 3-3.5" in them, I'll still use them, but won't be buying anything else from them.  Apparently they can't sell anything but full kits or shocks.

sorry but i think its funny you're angry a company won't warranty used parts with no reciept, and years of service and who knows how many miles out of them.

what tire are you running? 33s?  these will clear your tires fine, and in all actuality, probably ride a bunch better because they're softer..........

Wasn't looking to flare rc at all, I will still use the springs, I bought them used, will install them used.  They will be on there until I do an axle/ soa swap, then I will buy new decent springs.  I was more ticked that he wasn't even willing to help out with the rest of the kit, basically asked him for slight discount on full kit.  Price was good, that's why I bought them, otherwise I would be looking at ome or re.   I had re springs on one of my xj's and they were far better quality then rc, in MY opinion.
