Warn 8000 Install
« on: October 20, 2010, 09:30:11 AM »
Hey guys, so I finally got my winch mounted, without taking the damn bumper off... was a fun time.  Then I saw that the motor ground wire leading from the solenoid box needs to be connected to the bottom of the motor, with the large negative ground cable.

So I can't get access to this unless I unbolt everything lift the winch out and then put the little ground wire on the bolt with the large ground cable.

Not having much experience with electrical, can I put the motor ground cable on any bolt on the motor side? or the winch for that matter.  Since the winch is grounded to the battery it would be the same thing right?

Trying to same an hour =D lemme know.

There will be a lot of current going through those cables, if it was mine, I would definitely make the proper connections.
