Who makes the best 1 inch TJ body lift ?
« on: November 02, 2010, 12:47:22 PM »
Just looking for people's experience, and opinions.

I Would like to put a 1 inch lift on my TJ, and it seems there are a lot of different brands, with different types of "pucks" .
Ones that sit on top of the rubber, and ones that replace the rubber bushing entirely.

Just wondering if people have had good \ bad experiences with certain ones.  IE - excessive body roll, body slipping on the pucks, etc.

Thanks everyone.

Daystar, the only body lift i would ever use or  recommend. it replaces the whole body mount minus the top metal piece.

little more expensive then other body lifts but is well worth it.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm leaning towards an aluminum-based 'pucks' over the polyurethane. Just seems like it would suspend the weight of the tub better over time and won't break/flex/crack out.

It'd be a good idea (for your fan shroud, etc) to consider a motor mount and t-case lift and maybe even a SYE while you're at it.

I ran a Teraflex Aluminum BL on my first TJ and it worked fine. On the rest of my TJ's, I made them out of poly ethylene...strong as hell and cheap to make.
