Saturday November 27th... last open run at Mclean
« on: November 19, 2010, 01:39:18 PM »
I'll be leading a run Saturday November 27th...
This is an open run.

Planing on attacking fisher east. Hopefully all holes will be frozen.  The snow should make it a challenge. Since this is an open run there probably will be a lot of stopping to help others out.   With snow chances body damage increases.  It's the start of jumping tree season lol.

We'll meet just past the store on Mclean Creek road (by the pond) at 9am    head out from there at 9:30.

Must have requirements:

- 31" tires with good tread
- front and rear tow points
- spare tire
- recovery gear
- extra food and water
- lots of warm clothes / change of clothes

Good to have:
- CB
- tire chains
- lockers
- a snowmobile

Lets go have fun in the snow.

Eric

I should be able to make it, as long as Ron comes too.  :P

I wouldn't mind seeing Fish East without spending $50 at the car wash afterwords.

I am in, provided that work doesn't derail me.

Fisher East is a ton 'o fun at this time of year!  ;D
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Will tow hooks front and back plus tow rope be adequate  recovery gear?

That should be fine. Please just make sure that your tow rope/tow strap does not have any sort of metal hooks on it. You want to find one that has "soft" ends - loop style.

This is bad:

This is good:

not tow rope or tow strap, they are called recovery straps.

This may be a question without a solid answer, but a guesstimation would be appreciated.  About how long will the run on Saturday take?
