Bump Stop Question??
« on: December 09, 2010, 11:00:47 PM »
So I got some new 33's on the Jeep, (i only had 30's on before)  and I know I have to extend my bump stops.  I have 2.5HD OME with 1" body lift on my TJ.  What are you guys doing for this.  I bought 2" bump stops from Modern.  Is this too much or just right.

I'm not looking forward to yanking the springs out again.  The first time I didn't know they were side specific and let behold all springs were in the wrong spot. lol.

And work said they would buy me a M8000 winch so should I go ahead and put a 3/4 spacer on the front cause it sits perfect right now.  I think it will sit too low with that weight on the front.  I don't want to pull the springs a third time if ya know what i'm saying

Been down that road before. Just jack the Jeep up by the frame and let the front axle droop. There should be enough space between the coils to get a hockey puck in with a little persuasion. Stack two of them in there(should be close to 2") and epoxy them together.
