Sticking XJ Hood Release
« on: January 08, 2011, 04:52:13 PM »
Hi Guys and Galls,

Just wondering whether anyone has experience on sticking XJ hood release cables. I have lubed the cable with silicone with mild improvement. Do these things return to normal operation once lubed enough or should I just replace the whole cable apparatus? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I lubed the one on my 98 and it works like new again. It was too late for my 99, I pulled it one too many times and it snapped :(. Gotta replace that one
