Ramsay Rocks Father's Day Show and Shine
« on: April 03, 2011, 09:22:44 AM »
Maybe not an official CJA event but I'm sure some of you will be interested.  Any of you who have been here before will know that it is a full day family event. We will have live bands all day long, bouncy castles, face painting, lots of local artists and vendors will have a booth set up. There will be great food & refreshment stands where you can buy food, or if you enter your car, YOU GET FREE FOOD. And I'm not just talking about a crappy tube steak and a no-name pop. We only provide great food and you can eat all you want. AGAIN THIS IS FREE FOR ENTRANTS. Also if you enter your car, you will be automatically entered for one of several door prizes, People's Choice Award, and the first 25 vehicles will get a dash plaque as well. (We are also trying to get approval for a burnout competition but not sure if that will be a go or not). the show officially runs from 11:30am -4pm and we will start parking cars at 11am. We really like to strive for unique cars so please don't come with your brand new stock jetta or whatever just because you want free food. We love to see modded cars(not just stereos & stickers) and motorbikes are also welcome. Last year's PCA winner was a beautiful 66 Malibu, we also had 6 or 7 Cobras, old Mustangs, a couple VW buses, and much more.NOT A SINGLE 4X4 HERE LAST YEAR, WE NEED SOME... I'm also working on getting a couple Craftsman truck Series trucks here this year so if you've never been up close with a 1000hp Nascar truck, here's your chance. Mark it on your calendar as an event you do not want to miss. The most common feedback we got from car show participants last year was that they couldn't believe it was all free and that it was this much fun.

PM me or email at [email protected] and let me know if you would like to enter and what you have to enter.

Excellent! If any of you have kids, be sure to bring them along. It really is a good time for all involved, plus it's father's Day. I will keep you posted as to any updates as it gets closer and will confirm some numbers then.

Good excuse to wash an wax my 01 xj. If i have the day off count me in.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

Not familier with the location. Is this in Calgary? I googled the address and it gave me Ramay Elementry School. Is this the location?

I'd be up for this. Would be a good excuse to get the mud off my jeep and give her a little TLC she desperatly needs. Plus, it would be a good way for me to come and meet some of ya. If Raspberry and TL-Iguana are there, you can have at least 3 XJ's showing how fun a grocery getter can be.  8)

97 XJ 5" lift. little character on the body from tree-pivots. I'll try to have 33's on by then but I'm driving out with stock 30's to save on gas for the drive from Vancouver.
