I have an 2008 jk unlimited rubicon. The abs light came on, I took it to the dealer ( Courtesy Chrysler ). They told me that the wires where broken and looked like they where pulled. The wires got caught in my bump stops. They could fix them for $900.00
. I was told that you could splice them and the jeeps computer would accept it.
Only the back passenger side was broke. I spliced in about 16" (one wire looked burnt), leaving a couple inches on the connector at the wheel and the same at the frame. I soldered the connections, shrink wrapped, covered with new plastic stuff, taped the ends and zip tied (away from harm).
When I started the jeep the ABS lights were still on. I took it for a short drive and hammered on the brakes a couple times and the lights went off. I could feel the ABS working as well. I'm into this fix for about $10.
. Do it your self !
