Chanda's HID Kits
« on: April 19, 2011, 10:37:49 PM »
Well since we got the TJ there was a serious light output issue, when I drove it from Vernon to Calgary I was forced to use the fog lights to see the road adequately,.., first order of business H4 lenses and lamps,.. No huge improvement,.. But slightly brighter and more even than the originals,..  I was in at Chanda seeing Jay to get a new windshield and started to investigate his HID kits,.. So I discretley opened a kit and looked it over and glad to see the power was pulled from the battery and not the headlight harness like other low price ones,.. long and the short of it I took a gamble and bought one.

I have to say this is seriously a plug and play kit it took about half an hour to install it in the TJ and the only tools I needed was a 10mm wrench, 2way tape, zip ties and a few misc other hand tools. What took me the longest time was the repair on the headlight pigtail than rotted out.

Now the results ,....

HID vs Fog lamps

From left to right

TJ HIDs VS XJ w/Silver Star headlamps VS 07 Ford Fusion Stock

Guess which is which

Now the read difference can't easily be shown in these pics you have to see them on the road,.. Keep in mind all the cars are not even parked distance wise from the hill and are on angles.

All I can say is WOW and I should no longer have any complaints from the Wifey about night time driving,... Now to convince Her on the 4" Lift ;)
