NHL playoffs round 2
« on: April 27, 2011, 08:53:08 PM »
well now who? sadly my habs are out. and its a sad day when i say that detroit and tampa both look good. phily still needs a goalie and to hang dan carcillo. washington looks solid. san jose got a boost from a big win. vancouver doesnt seem to have the energy to go the distance.
your guess is as good as mine.
cast a vote. even if your team is out.
who do you think at this point has a solid chance to go all the way???
 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Well, it was exciting! i am glad selfishly that Boston won as Philly matches up better against them as opposed to Tampa.

Round 2:
(1) Vancouver Canucks vs (5) Nashville Predators
(2) San Jose Sharks vs (3) Detroit Red Wings

My predictions:
Tampa Bay
Philly

Nashville
San Jose

i just noticed the detroit/san jose and boston/philly series are repeats from last year. both should be intense!

Loooseroungo is playing well, i see. ;D He lets in the tying goal with 3mins left and lets in thge winner in 2OT. Yes, both goals were his fault and savable.

Philly might just start Backlund. That would be fun. 4 starters in the playoffs. Philly tanked on Sat. Defense was not good. The team was not good and i can actually say that Boucher did not let in a soft goal. Brobvosky was ok but we need a goalie to win us one.

did you see don Cherry's rant about philly's goaltending? it was pretty harsh...

No, i try and watch NBC coverage. Much better announcers. But, i am sure its deserved. The goaltending kinda sucks but the Flyers as a whole sucked last game. >:(
