« on: June 16, 2011, 08:24:20 PM »
Jay has finished all the body parts on the jeep...I now need to sandblast! I was hoping to do myself but have no time plus the only place I know (consolidated) to blast yourself is $90 hr! Does anyone know any other sandblasting places?

I just called consolidated a couple days ago and was told $110/hr. Seems a bit steep for DIY.
If you want to run with the big dogs you have to be able to pee in the tall grass.

Wheatland Blasting. They do good work at a fair price.

Actually it is cheap.  You will spend more on sand in an hour with a big machine like they use.  We have a blaster at work and I can guarantee $110 in sand is gone much faster than one hour.  You can sand blast a lot of stuff in an hour.

At consolidated I did my entire jeep tub, inside & out, top & bottom in under an hour. They have a pretty good setup and equipment.
Just dump all your parts on the ground, walk around blasting, flip 'em over and carry on.
