ARB Airline Emergency
« on: July 15, 2011, 06:38:06 PM »
So I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but I need to beg borrow or steal some airline for a bridge repair recon mission on sunday. Front and rear locker but no line! Anyone know where to get some or have spare I can buy or even borrow?

Dunno the size or anything but if I had to hazard a guess id think you may even be able to get some tubing for autometer manual guages and some fittings if you had to make a quick fix. Of course I could be way out to lunch here, but just a thought :)

Duane at JBs Performance on 32nd ave just past 12th st usually has that stuff in stock. Mopac would to.. Again, I dont know the diamater of the tube you need but if its smaller diameter that may help... I think the standard autometer stuff uses .25" fittings.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

Someone said Greenline a little while back, haven't been able to find the post again though. Jay specifically went to Greenline and they were completely lost...

Sigh...I've got enough line to run an entire vehicle from front to rear , but I'm out of town. Your best bet ( not joking here ) is to go to an pet store that specializes in fish and aquariums . They have line that will work if you can find the right diameter. They also will have couplers to repair your existing line(what the fack happened to all your ARB line?), but you will still need the brass fittings , ferrules , and 0 rings.

The line that came with my compressor (used) was cut out of the old install and was about 2ft too short to reach. I ended up rerouting and moving the compressor over. Looks like it may just reach but I'm at a stand still until I pull the diff cover off anyway. Looks like the internal copper tubing needs a slight rebend its half an inch too short to reach the compression fitting in the bulk head.

Thanks for all the good suggestions!
