Rear View Mirror
« on: April 05, 2006, 04:31:26 PM »
What kind of (tape/ adhesive) do they use to hold the rear view mirror on the front window of a TJ?

My mirror and the metal tab fell off today and I need to know what works best to stick it back on with. I will be changing the front windshield in a few months but would like to put the mirror back on for now.

Thanks

Just pop into a window shop and they'll probably glue it back on for free.

Get the 2 part epoxy type from Canadian Tire. Don't waste your time or money on the stuff you don't have to mix, I tried that and the mirror fell off again as I adjusted it.
The 2 part stuff has been holding well since last summer.

speakin of mirrors, try flipping it upsidedown. you'll get a wider angle view out the rear where you need it.
