Return of my Jeep!
« on: July 30, 2011, 10:31:47 PM »
For those who do not recall, I'm the guy who hydrolocked his WK on the initial 101 run.

Well, after 5.5 weeks and 2 replacement engine installations, it's finally back in my driveway.

Anyone who's going on a stocker friendly DRY  ;) run, let me know.

im pretty sure it was put out there that mclean is a swamp . and any hole that might look like its 2 inches deep is probably 2 - 3 feet deep

glad to hear your back and running    stick to waiperous and youll probably get to enjoy that engine longer

Or just stick to the west side of mclean and use the bypasses around the rare big holes!...Oh and get a snorkel or make a custom intake under the hood to prevent this.

You guys didn't see the puddles that stopped the jeep...

Glad to hear it's all up and running again!

I'm glad to hear that one of the WK's made it back home. I went to see mine during visiting hours @ the body shop and it is far from being done. I am hopeful that I might see it home in another two weeks after all the sheet metal and paint is complete.

I think you can be thankful that you broke when you did as with my 3" lift and 32s I still mangled mine to death. Glad to hear its back on the road as I gaze out the window and stare at a Saturn where my Grand used to sit sniff sniff

Engine problems.

First used engine was installed and when started was crazy knocking like a son of a ....... and making all sorts of internal not so nice noises.
Way too much to deal with.

This one was yanked and another used engine sourced. It delayed it 2 weeks from when originally finished, but sure nice to have it back with a strong engine in it (50K km's, an mechanic gave a 1 year 20km warranty on it)

Yes, but you got to claim your expensive day through insurance, right?
