spring over - what is involved?
« on: April 07, 2006, 10:06:19 AM »
i'm planning on doing a spring over on my newly aquired 81 CJ7.  what would  i have to do to the steering?  also, would the driveshafts have to be lengthened?  or would it just be easier to grab some axles from a ford 1/2  tonne (dana 44, ford 9")?thanks in advance!

My buddy did one on his 85 CJ7, Not that he's unhappy with it but he said there were a lot of things people didn't tell him he had to do that he had to figure out on his own.

His name is Lance here's his e-mail, I'm sure he could go into more detail.
I think he's up north right now so he might not awnser right away.
