Planning on doing a welding technology when you graduate from what? WET is for people looking to go into quality control. Its always good to have a handle on what your in for before entering that program. We have hired and fired several WET graduates in the past months..a picture in a text book and what a quality weld are very different.
I doubt they can teach stick in more than one position over 8 hours, nevermind go thru 4 positions, and then tig. ..It's one thing to give a beginners course over 8 hours..but to teach fundamentals of two different hand skills is impossible. Good on everyone for wanting to learn the basics of a great trade.
