OE track bar removal tricks and tips
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:06:40 PM »
Read the instal instructions from the jks website on how to instal the adjustable track bar, seems pretty straight forward. However, I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks, specifically regarding  the removal of the OE TB at the chassis mount. The instruction call for a universal puller which I don't have... Thanks

WIN!

Ask around someone should have one you can borrow. Unfortunately that's one of those "haven't snuck it in the cart at princessauto when wife wasn't looking" tools for me.

Grinder and a zip disc makes short work of it.

Do you even read forums or just responed blindly? Nevermind I've seen your welds, you do everything blind.

Scott needs his stock trackbar dummy.

I have the other version required for doing mechanical work if you either want to borrow it or do it at my house/jobsite Kyle. As for tips: do it someplace level and with a friend. Trying to line up that stupid bolt while putting all your weight into the side of your tub so you can push the body over is a PITA.
