New Tires for Daily Driver

Hey guys,

I am looking to replace the 18" rubber on my WK and I would like some input. I currently am running BFG AT in. 265/65/18 E Load. I absolutely hate the ride quality of these tires even at lower pressures. I have narrowed my search down to two tires and would like some feedback if you have run these tires. I am between the GY Wrangler SA and the Dueler AT Revos. My two size options are 255/70/18 & 265/65/18 but I want nothing but a standard load tire. I have dedicated winters so the winter traction is not a concern for me. I prefer the SA as they look a bit more aggressive but I've heard good and bad stories about them. I haven't run Bridgestone tires in years so I don't know what to expect. I will not be wheeling with this rubber so offroad traction is also not a huge concern.

Thanks. Yeah, like I said, these are not going to see much more than a gravel road or wet grass so thats not my main concern.

Considering they come stock on most Jeeps you should be able to pick up a set off someone on here for a very good price. That also speaks a lot for them because why would Jeep put them onto their rigs at the factory? They are quiet, wear decently, and perform great on road. I havent run a set myself personally, but it should speak volumes that probably 50% if not more Jeeps sold off the lot have this tire on it when they are bought. Cant see it being a downside for your type of intended use

I think we are thinking about 2 different tires lol. I am talking about the Wrangler Silent Armour not the GS-A. Yes I will fully agree that those tires suck ashat lol

The Silent Armours are fantastics tires.  Have set on the Libby and will be getting them again.  The SA's are awesome in the winter too.  We run them all year around.

I run the dueller AT RHS on my GMC 1500 (265/70/17s) and I love this tires on my truck.  I know you don't care about winter traction but they are great in the winter and I have 77,000 on them right now.  The AT RHS are also pretty cheap.

I would say check out Costco for stockish sized tires. the revo 2's in the 255/70r18 on tirerack shipped are just over 1000 not installed, from costco they are about 900 installed(they are on sale until October 2nd)   actually any bridgestone is on sale for 17.50 off each tire.

I was thinking about the Revos but I have heard that they ride pretty rough and don't last very long. Just a thought

I will chime in here and say I've enjoyed my experience with Goodyear Silent Armours on my Jeep. Kept a set specifically for the winter (even though they're an A/T tire, but they were much better on packed snow than 33" M/Ts haha)

Also have a few friends running Silent Armours on their SUV's/trucks and they also speak fondly of them. Fantastic all-around tire, would definitely have them again on a daily driver/highway vehicle.

Same experience with my Silent Armours.
I run them on my Ranger(31x10.5x15) and was impressed by their winter performance on unmaintained highway roads . I 'd recommend them to family and friends for a great year-round tire.

thanks for the input guys. I was leaning in the SA direction and now I am convinced. thanks for the advice and now I will go get a set and put the BFG ATs on the auction block lol

I run these on my wk, hands down best tire I've had this far.  Very quiet tire for on road, amazing on snow, ice, gravel, mud(not mclean mud, soccer mom mud), rain etc.  I bought these after reading all the good reviews.  My buddy got 90,000+ km from these on his Chevrolet 1500
