Well, I may be able to make this one after all. Screw the stupid developers in Calgary (they never show up to my meetings anyway)!!! Besides, I am positive this will be much more fun.

Just one question: If there is one thing I have learned in my short time as a Jeeper it is that rain (mud) can turn an easy/stock/newbie run into a real challenge. Thus, given the rain we are currently getting do any of you experienced people have any thoughts on tomorrow?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yeah when the trail is saturated  simple trails become harder for everyone, which can mean slow going or more fun depending on how complicated it becomes. Anyone who was out on the 101 this year will be familiar with these conditions. It could very well make a normal trail a long day. Mud terrains will be a nice asset tomorrow.

Slim I'd highly recommend coming out, I'm sure we will be able to convince you to hold on to that YJ

I agree that more mud can mean more fun. Let's hope that's the case tomorrow.

However, I think there is also point at which it can become a very difficult long day especially for stock vehicles (sans mud terrains) and newbies (me still to a certain extent).

Maybe, we should just all bring several of Brian's and Jamal's favourite beverages upfront for pulling the rest of us out.  ;)

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

I may put my inflatable ark in the back of the Jeep just in case...Taking reservations now... ;D

If you are not comfortable driving in these conditions, hop in with someone else.

I would agree that ATs and mud don't mix.

I think it is only fair to make it clear to all that are coming out, that given the amount of rain its likely going to be a dicey one tomorrow, (as said) MT tires will be real nice. I forsee lots of stucks and "temporary loss of forward momentum" situations......there will likely be some pucker factor involved. Unless its a Rubicon, stock those things are great. I could be wrong, but its better to have fair warning then being caught off guard on the trail.

That said I am really looking forward to the run tomorrow, it should be a really good time!

In the garage checking the Jeep for the run tomorrow and Prepping the back of the TJ for the Pup.  I hope you don't mind a pup on this run.  He loves McLean and the inside of my Jeep is a testate to that. I will only let him out if I have to chuck someone or get chuck out.  Dogs never see that coming.  We are meeting at the store at 11 correct?

Hey guys,

It looks like I might not be able to make it today, I'm having to go back to BC today on very short notice.

Good luck!

Had a great day.  Thanks to Jamal who led, knows the trails and is a great wheeler and BuKi who made me laugh all day long.
Didn't take a whole lot of pics but the ones I took were good ones.
