I miss skiing.... It's just too expensive now a day. ... The last pair of boots I tryied and fit me properly was worth $1000  :o

Go early because the white stuff will be all gone by noon   ;)

Cheers!

When I first moved out here, I spent a season tuning skis in Banff. Between p-tex, poly patches, base patches, and full-on edge and sidewall rebuilds, I think that I spent over half my "ski tuning" time in the first three months of the season on rock damage.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Ya it expensive thats for sure. I quit boardin 8 years ago and never thought I would again, last year the wife wanted to learn... caught on quick and by the end the season we probably racked up40 days or so between Sunshine, Louise, Fernie and Kicking Horse. This year its all we can think about now. I do my wax n tuneups... Im to cheap and impatient to pay someelse todo it and wait to get it back.

Dom's right. Don't worry about that!

Most ski and board tunes are absolute crap. You'll get a 19 year old kid who is halfway baked (and who only has half a clue what he's doing when he's not high) jamming your gear through a machine that hasn't even been set up properly, and then using a large rock to "detune" your tips and tails. Compared to a real tune...well, there is no comparison.

Felix in Montgomery/Bowness is the best in the city.
i ski lots. Its why i moved back here. But my surgeon suggested to take the season off and my knee will heal even better.
Last season was epic. 8)

It wasnt bad... but it is was it is. Nakiska with one groomed run can only go so far. We stayed about two hours and got bored. Was still good to get out but probably wont bother now for atleast a month.
