I agree Jeff. We were out a few weeks ago and the ice is more of an obstacle than the snow for sure.

What time are you looking at starting/being finished?  I'd be up for a run, but I want to be back in Calgary by about 4:00 pm or so.

I am thinking a 9am start from Smittys and off the trails by 2:30 at the latest.

The winter trail from Meadow Creek to Waiparous Creek if done South to North may be an exception.  Needed chains on a locked truck to get up the other week.  Everything else was fine.

As long as I get some work done to the Jeep tomorrow, I'm in.

Sounds good. As long as we have at least three rigs I'm in. I won't go out with less than three this time of year.

I agree.

If papa Darrens in, than we can pull you up the icy hills with our winches  ;)

I'll let you guys know by tomorrow afternoon.

John, give me a call if you're on the fence with me going.

I forgot to mention that due to the ice on the hills and the fact that this is not a stocker friendly run I have a few minimum requirements. A minimum of 32s with at least 50% tread or front and rear lockers. Front and rear tow points are a must and you must have your own recovery strap as a minimum. Please note that with the time of year and the fact that conditions can change quickly, damage is a real possibility.

All participants must have a change of clothes, proper winter footwear and enough food and water to last at least two days. I just want to be sure that if something happens, we are ALL prepared, not just some of us.

I am looking forward to a good run tomorrow and we will be leaving Smittys for the trails at 9am so please fuel up before you leave.

Thanks. John
