Another bent part of the XJ!
« on: February 08, 2012, 12:35:41 AM »
Awhile ago I got a track bar off a buddy, he welded a gusset in on the bend of the upper end to add strength. Now after comparing it with another track bar it looks like my bar is bent, and then had the gusset welded in.  Once in a blue moon it interferes with my steering stabilizer but 99.9 percent of the time it seems to do its job.

Now my question is this: Since the bend/weak spot has been welded and aside from the occasional slight rub on my stabilizer are there any adverse affects to the bar not being 100% parallel with the axle? I'd like to avoid replacing this (again) but if I have to, I will likely order the rough country one and a drop pitman arm.
