Firts year tech s work on whatever they are told to work on , not whine about it , or else , that's how it should be.

I am more than willing to discuss wage with anyone that would like to call me and discuss it as there are factors. Just me posting wages is not professional. I consider what people make per hour a confidential topic. Even what we discuss is subject to change, it all comes down to what my bosses offer whoever decides to apply.
Sorry my bad for saying recession proof. What I meant is there will always be a railway. Trains MUST run. Period! The equipment we work on is the machines that replace the ties, rail, ballast ( gravel under tracks ) and make repairs to tracks! There is no such thing as a slow time for us. We are always busy. We work in the Calgary shop all winter overhauling the equipment for the following season.
So again any questions please feel free to give me a shout!

Not sure if you're just trying to be funny ... but so far you've shown us you're a tool. Gearhead is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics I've ever met and you'd be lucky to have him show you a thing or two.

Wow because Jeff sure never helped anyone out here... Hell he even posted usefull information about where to buy a Tj battery terminal and how coilovers can't "directly bolt into a Tj", questions no one else would have wasted time answering.

I guess I figure its not cool to have non club members being asses to paying long time members. I figure its my job as VP and website admin to ensure our members don't get abused on the site. If you think differently then put forward a motion at the next meeting that says we shouldn't ban anyone from the site.

I think his build has been cool to watch... have enjoyed some of the stuff he's posted ... but he's crossed the line a few times over the past few months. Heck it used to be that posting any kind of a cuss word or slander would get you banned on here... I try not to be that rigid but its supposed to be a family friendly site.

As for me not helping with someone elses rigs.... Have we ever met? Do you know how many people in this club are wheeling rigs they got from me? or on parts they got from me? I don't claim to be a whiz mechanic... or master fabricator.... what I do is help out with site... help organize the show and shine... and part out a few jeeps here and there.

So again... its not about how helpful Jeff is or isn't... it's about crossing the line and being abusive towards long time members of this club.

I don't have a dog in this fight, because to be honest I know and like both of the Jeff's....but I will say that someone's definitely over-reacting to an innocent joke that was made in passing, and that caused it to turn into WAY more drama than it should have.

I'll also suggest that being confrontational with one of the admins on the site when you don't really know him or what he's done for other folks in the club might not be the most productive move...especially for someone that hasn't yet gotten around to becoming a member. I know Robin well enough to say that's he's done a lot for this club and the people in it...and I've personally seen him go WAY out of his way to help out new folks both on and off the trail. You're way off base buddy.

haha, Robin lent me his brand new $850 ARB locker so I could wheel the winter camping trip and then order him a new one afterwards and has bent over backwards (and been bent over) to help out members and non members.

if you're not a "member" here, you might not know this and shouldn't have opinions about those who are.
