So I ordered shocks from Stan, but I am starting to get concerned that maybe I ordered too big...

My current rear eye to eye on the RC2.2s is 18"
the shocks I ordered are 15.41" to 25"

kind of thinking I should have waited for him to order in the 14.63-23.07


thoughts? I guess I could still return them, although riding around with 3 shocks does make for a bouncy ride
With these being pressurized will they sit at the same 18" nominal?

Is that 18" fully extended, compressed or at static ride height?

Best thing to do is figure out how long of a shock you need by flexing out your jeep and measuring. The fully stuff the tire and measure. Now get a shock that best fits those meausrements. Add bump stops and limiting straps as needed to prevent damaging the shocks by bottoming them out or over extending them.

If you are too lazy to do all that work then don't worry about it, those 18s will be fine.

I'll flex it tonight with a floor jack to confirm. I need to put some work at either removing the broken bolt in the weld nut tonight or removing the weld nut all together before installing new shocks anyways.

Thanks Clay, so you're saying for the time being I could be fine running the 4" set? 18" is the current sitting on flat ground nominal eye to eye measurement
