Found these wilst surfing and thought I'd give'm a try or make my own.
http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=IR-S_AAK&Category_Code=I was planning on replacing the front axle ujoints so while I have the shafts out I think I'll do a bit of welding.
I don't want to pony up for aftermarket shafts right now so I'll toss in some new u-joints, a bit of welding and call the entire assembly a one time use if the joint fails.
Or, I'll grind off the caps and do'em again if I'm feeling real cheap.
Anybody else try this? I've heard of guys tack welding the caps in place but I think this method will be better than just tacking the caps in and no risk of burning the grease.
