I am dropping my tranny this weekend to change my $350 slave cylinder but does it work to just change my clutch disk only while it is all apart versus a complete clutch kit????  I am on a mad budget right now!

Where are you buying the slave from?. You can get a whole clutch kit for that price. Also doesn't make much sence not to change the pressure plate and pilot bushing if your going through all that work. And machine the flywheel also, and while your at it, if you have a one piece rear main seal change that too.

If you just change your slave.....your gunna have other problems..might as well git r done while your down there..  dont wanna change the slave...put it together..then have to take it all apart again to fix something else   that would suck
