Wheelin Monday
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:40:40 AM »
Looking to get out on Monday and do a run at Mclean, I know its the long weekend but hopefully Monday will be less busy and the weather will be nice. Plus it is always interesting (good or bad...) to see the results of the long weekend.

Requirements:
32" tire Minimum and if your driving a land anchor "aka JKU" have a winch please! Make sure they are atleast an A/T or preferably an MT **Absolutely NO street tires**
Recovery gear
Tow Points
Spare full size
Good working Vehicle
Good Attitude
Food water etc etc.

I haven't been out in a while, and wouldn't mind tagging along if that is alright.  Hopefully nothing to scary.  I have a new girlfriend and wouldn't mind keeping her.  My rig is ready to go, and fully loaded with all the parts and toys.  Could also go Saturday, but yes, that would probably be the busy day out there (depending on which trails you wanted to go and explore).

^^^Well exactly I think its interesting to know how things went/are going down.

It will be a fun run nothing unusually difficult, probably do quirk ridge. Most obstacles that are hard are avoidable. It might be a long  day depending on what trails we choose to navigate and link together but there will be outs at the road along the way.

Yeah, waiting on buying 35's in the next month or so, everything is ready to support it except for my wallet.
It can get a little sketchy in the real off camber  ;D

I'm down to camp, little bit of night wheeling?

That is the plan if we can get enough Jeeps to come out.

Come on people! Camping, wheeling = good times

That is kind of funny, cause yes, good things happen from night wheeling!  Cant tell you how many guys I have seen over the years drive off for the adventure of night wheeling.  Aparently, the long walk back at night (in the dark as they usually forget their flashlight) sucks.  Next day stories start off with "I didn't see that...", "Not sure how this happened...", and my favorite "It didn't really look that steep!".  I am all up for night wheeling (listening to the stories that is).
