F150 or Bronco coils will work, but they are stiff. Give about 2" of lift. Up Country Chrerokee coils or coils from a V8 Grand Cherkee (ZJ) will give about 1" of lift and ride better. Chev s10 or Dodge dakota leaves can be used in the back. Usually, what guys do is leave the XJ main leaf in place, and cut the eyes off the main leaf of the dakota or s10 leaves, and then just put the whole new junkyard pack in place of the factory leaves. This will give 3-4" of lift. Jeep commanche spring shackles can be used in the back as well for 1/2" of lift, or the shackles from a Chev 1/2 ton ('88-'98 if I remember right) which give a little more lift, maybe 3/4". You can also use a junkyard set of cherokee leaves, and cut the ends off them, and stack them in between the leaves from your original pack:

Just do this until you dial it into the height you want.
Jeep YJ front shocks are the same design as XJ shocks, and are about 3-4" longer.
Jeep ZJ rear shocks are about 2.5" longer, but you will need to use bar pin eliminators with them. Alternately, if you decide to throw out the rear sway bar, the mounting brackets from the rear sway bar can be bolted to the underside of the XJ and be used at bar pin eliminators. This will add about 0.5-1" extra length to the lenght of the shock.
