I wonder if we might do something like collect non-perishables for the food bank or something at the SxS ? Ask participants and people planing to come down to bring somthing for the foodbank and collect it in the back of a vehicle and make arrangments for dropping it off,

I think that is a great Idea. It is always surprising to be how much food you can actually collect. In one weekend we filled 2 full-size vans at school. Good community out-reach.

I think thats a great idea. The food bank gets lots of stuff during the holidays but the need is always there year round. Its allways good to he;p your comunity

Should the membership be hitting up their employers for prize donations or anything and what does the exec think about foodbank donations?

The Show & Shine is on Saturday July 16, 2005 @ The Toad & Turtle
2475 27th AVE N.E.(Just off Barlow) 11:00am-2:00pm

Registration is $5.00 and gets you in all the fun plus a hot dog and pop.

This event is open to all 4x4 rigs.
The events will include:
Ramping,
Slow Races,
Best/Worst Off Road Rig,
Pavement Princess
and Skilled Driving.

Went to the show and shine at North Hill mall on Saturday.......I was a little disappointed with the turn out............I hope CJA's event will be a little better :wink:  Any idea of expected turn out from past events

We don't have pre-registration so we can never be sure what the participation will be, but last year we had about 90 rigs.

Always a good variety of equipment to observe, particularly with the ramping, and of course there's never any problem finding something to talk about!

We welcome eveyones participation and the proceeds (we make contributions to the AURS) help to further the off road cause.   Your participation enhances the CJA's position and helps us continue with volunteer projects such as this website which provides a communication base for a sector of the 4X community.
