tube bender
« on: August 12, 2012, 12:27:03 PM »
i.m heading to red deer theres a place there that sells tube benders,  its jd squared model 3   anyone have one?.so for they seem to be highly thought of  but if anyone out there has one   what do you think of it?   By the time I buy a die or 2 its probably about a thousand bucks, but I want to do my own rolls cages ,bumpers,. sliders etc  Also what is the most usefull radius to get   thinking of getting a 1.75 diameter and one other but i know radius is also imortant as it affects the tightness/size  of the bend

i'm getting it from KMS tools. the 32 model is the heavyduty model which will bend 2" x 0.25" wall DOM. The model 3 will bend anything most people need. and you can add hydraulic to the model 3 later down the road. the manual model 32 is $100 more, add hydraulics and they are $999. manual version is what i'll be picking up and getting the hydraulics later.

If you need a hand to get it to Calgary Raf, i drive right past there everytime i come south to gtfo red deer ;)
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...
