Warn 9.5 TI winch
« on: September 17, 2012, 08:01:07 AM »
As the subject states, I have a Warn 9.5 TI that is not working. Motor runs both directions and you can hear what sounds like a gear trying to grab inside but very faint. I have pulled the clutch end off of the winch and the gears appear to be OK in that end. I can rotate the drum by hand and everything moves OK. Does anyone have experience with these and could give me advice on weather it is worth repairing and where in Calgary would on get parts or someone knowlegable to work on it. If the gears are pooched and repair will be costly, I would probably just replace it. Winch came to me as is on a Jeep I bought so not sure of the history.

Thanks

Theres a planetary set between the motor and housing that I have seen break in the past.
About $70.00 at Greg Distributors .
