If you can get a coyote with a bow, my hat comes of to you.

Yup. I have a colleague that's bagged a speed goat with a bow....but I  don't know anyone that's gotten a coyote that way. You will probably need some pretty awesome calling skills to pull that off.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I've never killed any coyotes with a bow( or gun for that matter, too much like shooting a dog), but I've got no problems killing gophers with my bow( thanks Ron for the head's up)

I was an avid bow-hunter for ten years and was rewarded yearly with game. I find most people new to shooting a bow make the mistake of buying too much fancy gear and getting their hopes up only to be disapointed . My advice to you would be to do some research online or spend some time on Alberta Outdoorsman.com. It's also a good idea to go to a shop that has shooting lanes and take lessons. I made leaps and bounds in accuracy and technique by having an instructor tutor and correct my bad habits.

I've got a few entry-level bow hunting books that I'll dig up if you want them.

I went to " Jim- Bows" here in Calgary years ago and just made some inquiries about used equipment and the staff let me shoot some high-end Dartons in the lanes. They noticed my technique was poor and I had grown into some bad habits. I asked to join some classes and then practiced for a few weeks on a bale of hay at my acreage. The classes were hassle free and some knowledgeable hunters were on staff. Prices for classes were reasonable and I could use the lanes at an hourly rate.

I actually preferred hunting  with a bow and I haven't used a rifle for a longtime now to take down game. There's more challenge in it.

You can say that again.
