just wondering if anyone knows the precautions to welding on your jeep.
you see  in the mags guys trail repairing on their jeeps and they never say what to do before u weld.
i did a google search and some say dont weld on the jeep and some say u can
the reason is because i have a bumper/tire carrier and need to weld some stuff on it with my wire welder. and rather than taking the bumper / carrier off the jeep was wondering if just disconnecting the battery is good enough? last thing i wanna do is fry the jeeps brain.
ps its a 97 tj

thanks in advance

disconnect the battery and make sure your ground is as close as possible to where you are welding.
