Hello all. My name is James. I don't actually own a jeep my wife does. She has a 2011 jk unlimited. Tan with both matching hard top and black soft top. So far all we have done to it is remove the grey bumper trim and paint the get wheels black.

Plans are fr some 33 inch mud tires for next spring. She has wheels a fair amount. Taken the jeep o top of the world and Margaret lake and a few other waipourous trails.

She isn't too into the forum thing nor does she have the time. So me being a car guy I'm on here to represent her. I am a active member of the Canadian Toyota 4wd association and both wife and I have taken some of road courses through the yota club. I drive a heavily modified hilux surf.

Look forward to learning more about jeeps and making hers a bit more capable off road. Maybe going on some trail runs with some new friends!

Don't hold ur breath! Hahaha. I have ifs so no birfs just cv boots to change constantly.

Thanks for the welcomes. For a stock vehicle the jk has sure impressed me. I can imagine with some tires it would be a great off road rig.

Oh hey James.   I remember that surf!!   It's been a little while but you bought that 2LTE turbo dump pipe off me last winter when my surf bit the dust.

How's the xj treating ya?

That dump pipe is amazing. I cut off the 2.5" flange back to where it was 3 inch and ran 3 the whole way out with a straight through muffler. She runs like a champ now. Added an intercooled and basically I think I've solved any heat issue the 2lte had.

Right on, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying.  I still shed a little tear every time I pass a good looking surf.  I had always wanted to intercool my surf...but obviously never had the chance.

The XJ is running strong...for the most part anyways.  8 months of jeep ownership and it's already got 4 new bilsteins, track bar, control arms, sway bars, rear drive shaft and a new cat back system.  Not to mention a new (to me) winch and an ARB diff cover awaiting installation.  I swear it's a good thing I don't have kids, because I would end up spending their college funds on 4x4 accessories.

I wish, I've actually only had the XJ out once.  It was parked for nearly 5 weeks this summer while the suspension/driveshaft/exhaust was getting replaced.
