ooh sounds like it could be a lot of fun out there instead!

winter wheeling!

you yota boys just need to figure out how to drive faster.  its understandable how you can't with a whopping 100hp motors though.

Ya cause driving faster up a ice covered trail sounds like a great idea.

Damn us at the yota club. Thinking about safety. Those tread lightly ethics bite us in the butt again.

Lol high roll over risk?? There is always going to be a roll over risk if you don't drive to the conditions. Be smart and it is perfectly safe and fun. I agree with johnny it winter wheelin now, different ball game. Usually Classified by higher rpm and wheel speeds to make the hills, it also involves sliding down the hill backwards quite often. Just keep it sane

High RPM move slowly and know your limits and it makes for a great day of wheeling.  I'm stoked
Shh.....Don't tell my wife I did that!!!

I've gotten a trail report from Maclean from the yota club. They have canceled a annual big members run this sat night because Maclean is apparently very dangerous.

A good layer of ice is covered by very saturated snow. Apparently even the usual tame rocks make for extremely dangerous climbs. Chances or accidents and rollovers are high.

I was there when it started snowing last sat and it got sketchy. The guys I was with have this report and said it is way way worse.

Based on that I am leaning heavily to go find a MTN to ski down instead of roll my truck down.

Wheelin has these conditions pretty much all winter in certain spots. Just don't run trails like Top of the world when the conditions are really icy, go run fisher east if youre scared of hills.

Good to see ya taking in all in stride.   Personally, I think that these conditions are perfect to be wheeling McLean.   Hope they are this way when we do the last days of McLean run in Nov...

It's not the snow that concerns me. I am not shy of winter wheeling. Shoot I grew up in Manitoba I know all about winter driving. What my concern was and is, is te layer of ice that has formed just under the snow making for very unpredictable situations.

My ski plans may have fallen through so I may come wheel.
