That's a crap deal on their part. Good luck though. I was wondering how your engine combo turned out...

B/S if there was situation that caused it to fail to would be evident in the rotating assembly of the motor or woul of been tattle-tailed by the ECM,... If all parts come back with no issues I see it as manf. issue not yours.  25K should be a no holds barred full blown race motor,.. My big XJ motor has been I've revved, over heated, and abused ,.. Still together

Maybe a post on pirate is in order

Out of curosity, what does 25k get you out of an LS 3?
Isn't the LS3 the 420hp Corvette motor?

I talked to a drag racer a while ago and he said he was getting his 1,200hp engines with a warranty for about the same price.

Hopefully the builder will do the right thing here.

Except I have $3000 in it including the brand new transmission, Luk clutch kit and fly wheel and AA bell housing. Should be sitting around 380-400 horsies without trying very hard.

We'll never know, he works too much.

Speaking of which, Jason, can I come to site one day and play with your toys? It's been a while. Or you can hire me over the X-mas break if you need hands.

Yeah but mine is still in one piece.

Haha sorry low blow, I couldn't help myself. Sucks waiting so long for new and shiny things only to have them have a problem right out of the gate. That's total BS they want you to pay for half. Any engine guy knows instantly what went wrong with the engine so IMO they know they screwed up but were hoping you are dumb and would just agree to pay it.

Sadly mine wont be in a Jeep anytime soon my last pay period (two weeks) had 178 hours on it.

Fraz you're welcome any time. They are probably slightly larger then you're used to but gimmie a call and come on out. 403 466 6722. I'm going to be in Hillcrest, Airdrie until xmas.
