cherokee xj from 3" to 4.5"

Hi , I am lifting my xj 4.5" , she's actually 3" now ... I am planning to install 1.5 shackles. And 1.5" in the front , new brake lines , new track bar and lower control arms. , but I need to now if I have to change the driveshaft ?  I already drop the T-case ..

You won't net 1.5 inches in the rear with shackles alone. You would gain half of that, maybe. Look into the addition of a small block under the leaves or better yet  shackle re-location brackets.

You might get away without having to get a new rear driveshaft with that little of a lift. My XJ was vibration free when I ran that much lift. Some people were not so fortunate and had to get a new driveshaft and SYE installed. Try it out first and see how she drives.

Ahmm ok.. Wow I didn't know that about the  Shackles ... Also the thing is that I need to change the stock ones , they are old and not in godd shape !  Can you explain to me why they won't get 1.5" ?

... I have 1.5" lift shackles on my XJ. They are a full 3" longer than stock, which translates to 1.5" of lift. And they're a better alternative to using a block under the leaf springs.

Also on my old XJ I had a 6" lift (without a tcase drop) and didn't require a new driveshaft, however as tubby suggests its hit and miss. There are many variables. You'll just have to try and find out for yourself

Oh ok , thank I will try without change the driveshaft ..... And. Installing shackles then , because it make sense that the actual measure from a 1.5" is 3"
