Some Holiday advice from your truly
« on: December 31, 2012, 08:15:56 PM »
With New Years Eve upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my friends here at CJA about drinking and driving.

As you may know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well two days ago we were out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling jolly we still had the sense to know that we were obviously over the limit. That's when we did something that we’ve never done before - we took a bus home.

Sure enough, on the way home there was a police road block, but since it was a bus they waved us past. We arrived home safely without incident.

This was a real surprise as I had never driven a bus before, I don't know where we got it and now that it's in our driveway we don't know what to do with it.

Happy New Year!!!

Too many deaths from Drink Driving.

Compared to other provinces in 2006, Alberta had the highest rate of deceased drivers who tested with
a BAC greater than 0.08 per cent. Alberta’s rate was 3.44 driver deaths per 100,000 licenced drivers
whereas the average Canadian provincial rate was 1.84 (Canadian Council of Motor Transport
Administrators, 2009).

Dude....did you actually read the post?
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(
