Power window fix?
« on: February 14, 2013, 03:22:18 PM »
My drivers side power window works...but as soon as it hits the bottom or the top, it makes a bad noise, like plastic gears skipping. Anyone else had this issue before?
Also, the " auto down" feature doesn't work either, so I have to hold it down.

Sounds like you have stripped gears inside the door... Just pop the door panel off and have a look inside. Its pretty easy to see through the holes in the door once the panel is off.

As for this -  Also, the " auto down" feature doesn't work either, so I have to hold it down.

My girlfriend complains about that all the time too.... ;)
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...
