Had a great time and would definitely recommend this for anyone who's new to their Jeep or who has never really taken it off the street.

I learned lots, christened my recovery strap, had some great finger artwork drawn on the rear windows and was amazed at what my 18 year old YJ could still do.

Thanks everyone for the fun, the words of wisdom and the help!  ;D

I'm jealous of all you guys who made it to the 101. I was (and currently still am) stuck at work in beautiful Nothern Alberta :( .  Where can one see some pictures of the event?

hey Vinman...that squirrel said it was the most fun flight of its life!  ;D The tree, however, was thankful the rest of you went around it.

Thanks CJA for a really awesome day!! Now I am off to buy a new bumper...and front fender.

Excellent presentation. Hit the trail at 12 noon and off the trail at 4:03.
You said we would be off the trail by 4. Missed it by 3 minutes..........??
How did you do that? And......thanks to all the CJA member who took
the time to come out and work with everyone and making it a great day.

Thank you Kevin and the rest of the team at the CJA for a well organized event. It was so much fun!

What would you suggest if we want to do some more trips with you guys? Just the next step type of thing and no rock climbing! :)

Check the "Open Runs" section of the forum. Many people will post up there before they go on a run.

As mentioned at the 101, wheel with people you feel comfortable with and don't be afraid to ask questions about the planned trail and what the organizers recommend for equipment.

Yup.  What Fraser said...

Keep you eye out on the Open Runs section.  Or post up in there that you looking to do a run on a specific day.  Let people know your experience level and the type of rig you have.   Get a map of the area and even a GPS (helps track were you have been and where to go).   And then get out there and try stuff.

Our trail guy will try to organize a CJA sanctioned run this summer.

The trails out in McLean have names for the most part and you will have noticed numbered markers as well.  We started on Sylvester for example.
I would recommend trying what we call Top of the World (Actually Priddis East I believe).

Get some recovery equipment and get out there!

I had a good time. Wheeling with beginners is pretty fun, you get reminded of how much fun the simple stuff can be. And you always pick up a few new tips. I'm glad everyone had fun and came out in one piece.
I'll be back for next years 101 to help out.
I hope to see a lot of you guys and gals out on the trails this summer :)
