ARB onboard air... Help
« on: July 19, 2013, 11:32:24 PM »
So I installed the ARB pump, adjusted it ran all the harness's to their proper locations, connected the wires as described in the ARB instillation guide... Turn it on and it blows the fuse to the cigaret lighter ( the wire I used for the "ignition" wire ) I don't even hear the pump it just blows the fuse. So I went through all the wires that I had done, everything matched to the guide for connectors and switching.

Anyone have a similar problem or know the ARB air system well enough to make a hypothesis on why this is happening?

The lighting wire I just capped and put away I didn't want the blue glow at night.

Replace the fuse and try 'er again. If it blows the fuse a second time, you probably have one of three things happening:

#1. Wrong lead connected to the cigarette lighter.

#2. Leads connected to the wrong poles on the relay.

#3. A short.

When connected properly, there should only be a tiny trickle of current needed through that lead - certainly not enough to pop a fuse. All that current is doing is activating a relay.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(
