Snorkels.....
« on: October 02, 2013, 12:30:06 PM »
Offer is good until Oct 16th. Orders and money must be in by end of the day.

Highly debated on these forums, but we have 2 jeeps here right now with hydro-locked engines that could have been avoided with a snorkel.
We are going to be placing an order in the near future.  The more people in on it the better the pricing!

If you are interested in some cheap insurance, let me know what vehicle you drive and I'll get you some pricing.

Here is some pricing.  If there are 10 or more purchased, the prices below will be it plus GST.  No shipping charges.
Parts must be paid for in advance.

AEV                      $380
ARB                      $516

We all know there's no point putting a snorklel onto a ZJ. The transmission just sucks up any water that the engine doesn't get, so you're pretty much hooped either way.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

This was posted by someone on the ABJK site.  Some words of wisdom!

"I had a 2010 Raptor and hydro locked it in 6" of water due to a misplaced splash.

You only need a snorkel to save your arse once in a lifetime to justify putting one on anything used offroad.

My bill was $17,800 because after hydro locking it sunk in the mud helplessly down past the door line causing 3" of crappy mud to flow in. Then it sat in the sun at the dealership causing that muddy water to condensate all under the dash causing major rusting which I didn't discover until electrical issues ensued a year later.

Buy a snorkel it's such cheap insurance. "
